Absences
If you're absent, it is your responsibility to make up all missing assignments. Please make a point to see when you return to receive any make-up work. All assignments will be listed on Mrsjosato.com. All assignments, instructions and coordinating papers will be available on the G: drive in the appropriate folder.
Cheating
ABSOLUTLY no cheating!
DO NOT have anyone else do your work for you.
DO NOT do someone else's work for them.
DO NOT copy and paste someone else's work.
DO NOT share answers on a test, quiz or any other assignment where you have not be given permission.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A ZERO on the above mentioned assignments. Chronic cases of cheating will be referred to the Discipline Office.
Personal Conduct
I expect for all students to be respectful to me and to one another.
The use of profanity is PROHIBITED. This includes any type of offensive language. If a problem occurs with a student's conduct the following process will be followed;
1. Problem will be addressed with the student
2. Student will lose classroom privileges
3. Parental involvement
4. Referral to Assistant Principal and/ or Principal disciplinary action
5. Removal from class
Grading
All assignments will be graded in a timely manner and entered in Skyward. If you do not have a password to view your grades in Skyward, please contact your Guidance Counselor. Late assignments will receive a 5% penalty each day the assignment is late, with the exception of excused absences. The grading scale is as follows;
A 90 and above
B 80-89
C 70-79
D 60- 69
F 59 and below
Use of the Lab
Do not bring gum, food or drink to class. Please finish all snacks and meals in the Cafeteria. Although the classes take place in a computer lab, the computers are for class content use. There shouldn't be an expectation that the computers are for personal use (listening to music, email, video watching, etc.) Please refer to the Computer Usage Agreement for all other rules. Violation of these rules will directly result in disciplinary action and in some cases expulsion.
Be Prepared
- It is my expectation that all students be prepared for class.
- Please have pencil and or pens with you at all times.
- Bring your books and agendas to class.
- Give yourself plenty of time to get to class. Tardiness will be recorded! Chronic tardiness will result in disciplinary action.
- School ID's should be worn at all times!
Saving Your Work
Many assignments will require you to SAVE your work to the Y:Drive ( A shared drive) The instructions are as follows:
1. Make sure you save your work initially to My Documents until the assignment is complete.
2. Once the assignment is complete, Go to save as
3. Locate "my computer"
4. Click on the Y: Drive.
5. Locate the title of the specific assignment folder.
6. Click open and select save.
Sometimes there may be several layers, so be sure to place your document in the proper folder. Failure to place assignments in the right folder, may result in a zero for that assignment.
I expect all students to:
- Conduct themselves appropriately.
- Raise your hand to speak.
- To participate in large and small group discussions.
- To sit in assigned seat.
- To do their own work
- To do their best work
